Nigerian actress, Princess Peters has announced plans to empower unemployed youths and widows through the third edition of her pet project in October 2019.
The project which started in 2016 empowered about 250 widows and orphans in Benin City, Edo State.
Speaking to journalists on the third edition of the project, Peters said her humble background informed the decision to sustain the programme.
“I was not born with a silver spoon. Growing up for me was really tough. There were a lot I needed that I couldn’t get, even with having my both parent though they tried at least to put a meal on the table,” Peters said.
“Many a time, I try to put myself in the shoes of others living around us who can’t have one square meal a day and I will always end up in tears of not being able to do something to help their situation.”
The actress said she promise her self to put smile on people’s face through a passion to see the less privileged around smile.
She said beneficiaries of the project will be empowered to start up a small scale business.
